Cassandra Monique Batie aka Andra Day is a American R&B/Soul singer-songwriter. The singer has received various accolades such as the Grammy Award a Children's and Family Emmy Award and a Golden Globe Award along with nominations for an Academy Award. Andra Days is a strong artist who also writes beautifully. In addition, she is a master of retro R&B Her musical roots are blues and gospel jazz. The album she released her debut, Cheers To The Fall (2015), was an immediate success in the genre of R&B/hiphop which earned her a variety of Grammy and Academy Award nominations. The actress was born Cassandra Monique Batie in Edmonds Washington Andra Day, she grew up within San Diego and its metropolitan city, where she performed at churches and attended the School of Creative and Performing Arts. After after graduation, she started to lean towards contemporary R&B music, jazz and pop however, she was enticed back to jazz and soul vocalists of the earlier. Kai Millard Morris caught her performance and gave the music of Day to Stevie Wonder. This, in turn, led to the Motown legend connected Day to music industry expert Adrian Gurvitz. Allied together with Gurvitz along with Jeffrey Evans' Buskin label Day built up a YouTube following and eventually signed with major-label Warner Bros. n 2012 Day made her debut track Forever Mine on YouTube. This song was immediately heard on the radio by numerous DJs. The singer later signed with Warner Bros. Records and started work with the producer Adrian Gurvitz to record her debut album, Cheers to the Fall (2015). Album included single Rise up that was adopted as an anthem by the social justice movement across the globe. Day received two Grammy nominations for her album, including Best R&B Album. She released The United States Vs. Billie Holiday in 2019, a concept record about the life and career of the jazz icon Billie Holiday. The United States against Billie Holiday was released in 2021. This was the year in which she was also featured as Holiday. Andi Mattichak is an American actor. She started out in television and appeared on shows such as Orange Is the New Black & Blue Bloods. She then made her movie debut by appearing in Halloween as well as its sequels as Allyson. Andi Matichak is an American actress who was born on March 3, 1994, in Framingham Massachusetts in the United States.
